Our Company is committed to constantly monitoring progress towards gender equality and to adopting concrete policies and initiatives to achieve these goals.

THE PATH TOWARDS GENDER EQUALITY
With the objective of performing its mission at its best and in line with its strategic vision, ABS has decided to adopt a Gender Equality Management System (SGPG) compliant with the UNI/PdR 125:2022 standard, a valid tool to ensure gender equality regarding the presence and professional growth of women, enhancing an inclusive culture and processes capable of developing women’s empowerment.
Achieving Certification will represent only the first step for ABS in implementing this initiative, with a view to improving and promoting gender equality.
The Certification, in fact, aims to support and encourage the organization in adopting suitable policies to reduce the gender gap, with resulting benefits for staff well-being as well as reputational and ethical impacts.

MANAGEMENT COMMITMENT
Management’s commitment, based on process analysis, focuses on 6 key areas according to the UNI/PdR 125:2022 gender equality standard:

1) Culture and Strategy
• Promote an inclusive corporate culture and raise awareness on gender equality.
• Define strategic objectives for the inclusion of women.

2) Governance
• Involve leadership in promoting gender equality.
• Monitor and evaluate progress.

3) HR Processes
• Ensure balanced hiring, development, and promotion policies.
• Encourage diversity and inclusion.

4) Opportunities for Growth and Women’s Inclusion
• Create accessible career paths for all.
• Promote women’s participation in leadership roles.

5) Gender Pay Equity
• Eliminate the wage gap between men and women.
• Monitor and correct any disparities.

6) Parenthood Support and Work-Life Balance
• Provide support to parents to balance work and family life.
• Implement parental leave policies and work flexibility.

The strategic guidelines include training, constant monitoring, promotion of a respectful culture, and concrete policies to guarantee equity and meet the needs of women within the organization.

SPECIFIC POLICIES ON GENDER EQUALITY
Below are the most specific policies on gender equality, intended to provide the necessary input for formulating the Gender Equality Strategic Plan and for identifying, developing, and implementing procedures specifically dedicated to gender equality, based on the organization’s context.

These policies relate to the themes of the Strategic Plan:

6. Prevention of all forms of physical, verbal, or digital abuse (harassment) in the workplace.

POLICY MONITORING AND IMPLEMENTATION
The general Gender Equality Policy, and the related ones within the broader framework of the organization’s guidelines, provides — together with the Gender Equality Steering Committee — the definition and periodic Review of gender equality objectives, in order to evaluate their suitability and the need for modifications or integrations.

POLICY DISSEMINATION
The Gender Equality Policy is communicated and disseminated to all personnel and stakeholders through internal communication and publication on the institutional website.
