A.B.S. was established in 1987 by a group of technicians, all with decades of experience within worldwide operating O&G engineering companies.

Since the beginning the Company was specialized in process control engineering and industrial automation using DCS (Distributed Control System), PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and ESD (Emergency Shut Down).

The Company supplies complete services of basic and detail automation, electrical and instrumentation engineering, project management, job supervision, support to precommissioning, commissioning and start-up for industrial plants.

In the last five years new process, mechanical and piping engineering branches was implemented, due to provide a complete, integrated service.

The activities of A.B.S. in the ENGINEERING field include:

A.B.S. is also a qualified supplier of integrated automation systems (hardware and software) and field instruments, with a specific aim to plant Safety (Emergency Shutdown, Fire & Gas and other Safety Instrumented Systems).

Recently A.B.S. has developed a package for Floating ROof Monitoring System (F.RO.M.S.) (detection of floating roof inclination, jamming and sinking, overfilling and under-emptying, fire detection), fire fighting automation, and tank isolation, based on a distributed SIL3 Safety Instrumented System supervised by DCS.

The Company, since its beginning, has aimed to achieve the following goals:

  • ensuring job quality, EAC and project scheduling development and maintenance.

A.B.S. has a comprehensive international technical library of regulations and standards (ISO, UNI, CEI, BS, ANSI, API, ASME, 3A, NFPA, ISA, etc.), including major companies’ standards (ENI, Agip Petroli, Snam, Snamprogetti, ERG, Montedison), always up-to-date.

The personnel employed by A.B.S. is characterized by a high level of education (engineers and technical experts), with qualified experience acquired in several years spent in O&G industry.

Due to structured relationship with skilled field technicians, the total capacity available for engineering and field supervision is 46.000 hours/year.
